Alice Springs Desert Park
Parrtjima 2021 will take place from 6.30pm – 10.30pm at Alice Springs Desert Park, across from the suburb of Larapinta.
Desert Park is home to the spectacular lighting of the MacDonnell Ranges, several large-scale immersive and interactive light installations, the animated artworks of Grounded, an amazing line-up of music, live talks, food demonstrations, workshops and children’s activities, plus an open-air food and beverage area. Grab a bite to eat while soaking up the atmosphere under the stars, only a short walk from the main festival site.
Entry to the festival site is free, but registration is essential.

The Lighting of the MacDonnell Ranges will commence each night after dark, following a nightly performance held on the Ranges Stage.
The festival ambience extends to Todd Mall, where you’ll find Tailoring Kultcha, an exhibition of light and textiles that showcases the innovation and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and fashion designers.
Adding to the ambiance throughout Todd Mall will also be kaleidoscope of lights programmed specifically for the duration of Parrtjima, painting the pathways in the evening with colours a patterns echoing the flavour of Future Kultcha.
A free shuttle bus stops at festival venues, around the Alice Springs CBD, and at some of the popular hotel precincts.
The closest public parking is available at Albrecht Oval, which is a 15 minute walk through Desert Park to the main event site. Limited onsite parking is available for those with additional accessibility needs. Please indicate when registering if you need accessibility support to apply for a pass.
